Show & Tell: Ep 14 One Shot Wonders

Play

Hello and welcome to Show & Tell, the podcasts from The Rpg Academy where we bring on guests to talk about something new and cool we want them to show us and tell us all about! (Get it?)

Today’s guest is Jacob Smith, the founder of Edgeland Games and the creator of One Shot Wonders. One Shot Wonders is a fantastic new product that is on Kickstarter right now! Check it out here.

One Shot Wonders is a completely unique tool for GMs. It is a collection of one-shot adventures that can easily fit into almost any campaign and be adapted to almost any party level. This valuable resource gives GMs a perfect solution for a variety of situations, including those times when they didn’t have time to prepare an adventure or when a player or two misses a gaming session. One Shot Wonders is created and tested by a team of Chicago GMs and game designers.

The pledge levels for the One Shot Wonders Kickstarter range from a print and play version to a complete box set with hardcopy books, custom minis, pre-gen characters, and a wet-erase map. The campaign includes options for both Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition Rules. During the interview, Jacob stated that the minimum funding goal for One Shot Wonders is $60,000. Before launching the campaign, the team was able to lower the minimum to $45,000.

Jacob will be a guest at AcadeCon and will be running pick up games with One Shot Wonders on Thursday for any of you early birds looking for something to do as well as on Friday morning. If you’re coming to AcadeCon, take some time to talk to Jacob and experience for yourself how awesome One Shot Wonders really is.
