Hello and welcome to the 6th episode of our ‘The Review’ series, this is our first board game review. Kosmos was kind enough to send me a review copy of Cities: Skylines.
Cities: Skylines is the board game port of the popular video game series. The game is 1-4 co-op where players work together to build a city with the resident’s happiness being the objective. The happier they are, the better.
Play involves developing land, building utility services, residential construction, industrial and commercial in a way that synergies them to keep things like Pollution, Traffic and crime down while maintaining a balance of Water, Electrical and Garbage services to meet or exceed the needs of the current population. You also track your workforce. Too many ppl or not enough and you’ll need to spend money during milestone phases which makes it harder to build in the next phase.
Overall Rating from us: B. Solid fun co-op game with sliding scale of luck/strategy and high replayability.
Thanks!!
~Michael
