Thrifty DM – Dry Erase cards for FATE

While at GenCon I had a chance to play a game of Atomic Robo (powered by FATE) with the system’s lead designer Mike Olson.  He had a whole kit for running FATE, but I was most impressed with his cards. They were about the size of a index card (3×5) and dry erase. They were perfect for writing down scene Aspects as they came up in play.

As i was preparing for our recent AcadeCon event I knew I was going to be running some FATE games I wanted to get something similar. What ended up finding where these:

White Cards

I thought they were awesome for FATE.  They are not quite as large as the ones that Mike had, but they do just as good a job.  They are designed for making ID’s, high gloss plastic, and works great with Dry Erase on either side.

Since then i’ve startwhitecardsareawesomeed using them for my other games: Tracking HP during a battle, for example.

If you’re playing FATE and don’t already have something like these, consider getting a pack. With a 100 in there one pack will take care of your whole table.
