  1. I really love this episode. I thought that the story started cranking forward in terms of intrigue and depth and while things aren’t being explained, there is a lot of interesting things going on in it. The player actions really moved the story forward.

I was also looking at it through the lens of the last Table Topics, and I think that Caleb really does a wonderful job with narrating through some more mundane parts of the story that progress in a logical sense and help drive the listening experience forward and keep the story moving.

    1. It’s an engaging DM style. Caleb adds flourishes and embellishments to what would otherwise be somewhat dry functional narration. Anybody can “move up to this square” or “stab the guy”. But it’s the little details that make it fun.

I love the dream sequence. As listeners, we don’t have all the background info on what’s going on, but it feels very much alive. Even without that knowledge, it’s clear that something important happened. Can’t wait to find out what!

    1. Ah yes, we get into a great deal of mystery in this episode. As players, we are also quite in the dark as to what exactly is happening in our little island community, and to our simple minded companion. I think you’ll like what comes next with Arhamie’s character.
