  1. That was a fun episode. It was fun to see D&D 5th Edition being run again, and should help me a little when I’m trying to remember everything for Wednesday when I’m running my first game. Poor squished Goblin, and Michael always makes/plays the weirdest characters, hilarious to listen to, and so completely out there. I like this play group very well, seems like everyone is used to, and plays off each other well.

    1. glad you enjoyed it! We have another 5e podcast series going (Dragon Moon) and a couple that were coming out during the playtests so they are not quite along the final rules.
I also am starting work on a new 5e podcast that i’m going to run but that one won’t come out for a while yet.
Morale of the story: if you enjoyed the ep you should be able to find plenty more you like as well.

      Thanks for listening!

The sound effects and radio play-esque bits were a delightful surprise. My co-workers may think I’m crazy for laughing out loud.

I think this may be the funniest actual play episode yet. Caleb did an awesome job of using the let players contribute meaningfully to the details of the world.

Also, listening to you guys just lose it is hilarious. It’s like the old joke that if the quality of movies was judged solely by the amount of fun the people making it had, Cannonball Run would be the best movie ever.

    1. Richard,

Thanks!! We had started to play around with Sfx with this one, but we don’t use too many. I also think this is likely our best (by way of being funny) series we ever did, but I rarely recommend it b/c it only last a few eps and then dies. We had some crazy scheduling issues with this one where one player moved cross country and another switching jobs that just made it impossible to schedule sessions to play and record. We are talking about re-visiting time to time and throwing out bonus episodes.

      Michael
