Table Topics: Episode 46 – Roll20.net : Data Delve

roll20Hello and Welcome to Table Topics the general advice and discussion podcast from The RPG Academy where we discuss topics from our RPG table or yours

I am Michael and this is Table Topics Episode 46 – Roll20.net : Data Delve. In this Episode Caleb and sat down with Nolan T. Jones one of the 3 co-founders of Roll20.net. We had previously had Jared on as a guest to share his love for the Virtual Table Top, but this time we went straight to the source with Nolan himself.
We cover a lot of ground in this episode, back to the humble beginnings of Roll20.net and how/why it was originally created. We then discuss the big update coming any day now: Data Delve and what changes / improvements it makes and then we discuss briefly the future of Roll20 and the hopeful expansion of the market place with both user and publishing company created content.

During our talk, Nolan brought up how to include the Escalation die from 13th Age as a macro on the VTT so it’s included in everyone’s rolls. I’m attaching a couple videos of that. There are numerous more videos on the web to learn how to do some nifty stuff with the program.

We also briefly touched on a webcomic series called the House of ORR that Nolan writes. I’m including a link for that as well.
