Here is your Tursharktopus following the Monster Creator in the DMG, enjoy!

    Large beast, Unaligned
    Armor Class 15 (natural armor)

Amphibious. The Tursharktopus can hold its breath for two hours and has advantage on saves against attacks that require inhaling something.

Hardened Shell. While right side up the tursharktopus has damage resistance to bludgeoning and slashing. As an action a character may use their Athletics (DC 15) to flip the tursharktopus, when flipped the tursharktopus is restrained and vulnerable to all damage and on its turn it can take an Action to right itself.

Multiattack. The tursharktopus makes three attacks, one with its bite and two with its tentacles.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.

Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) bludgeoning damage and the target must make a Constitution Save DC 15 or be blinded until the end of the target’s next turn or a Strength Save DC 15 or be grappled (the tursharktopus decides and it chooses each time it hits with a tentacle).

Obviously this is just one way to do it but I thought Professor Crunch might like to see this! You might be bored though Professor Fluff!

    1. Yeah, where is the backstory about how the Tursharktopus?

It was clearly one day away from retirement after working at a job that didn’t appreciate him. He would then go home to his wife and 15 kids and all he would hear was nagging at home, but that was going to get better when he could be at home as well. But little did his wife know to deal with the stress of his job and home he had developed a drug habit and was in some trouble with another Tursharktopus on his beat who was supplying him with drugs. This Tursharktopus told him that there was one last easy job for him to do, but it was a set-up, and the Tursharktopus was attacked by a group of humans. The Tursharktopus who set him up then went and told the wife of that the job had been done, and it turns out that they had been sleeping together for a while, and 3 of the 15 kids weren’t actually the dead Tursharktopus’s own tushaktopi.

In this episode, the fact that website visits as well as downloads are doubling every year is mentioned. If I can add my two cents regarding that specific topic, as you said, (and I don’t pretend to quote) that as a podcast, I’m assuming alot of listeners simply subscribe and probably rarely interact with the site itself. That being said, I would suggest perhaps encouraging listeners to come and comment on the page regarding their thoughts about the episode (much like I am doing now). I believe that would probably get people to come and participate a bit more on the site itself. That way listeners can tell their opinions on a friendo-ly forum. Now obviously, I don’t mean full on conversations within the comments, that’s what the forums are for. Now I know it’s done already to a certain extent, but I believe that by suggesting it in an episode perhaps, maybe people who may not have visited the site in some time, might return to do so. Now, I might be completely wrong about this, I hope I am right. Because I would love to see more interaction on the site itself. As always, great episode.

    1. RR,
Thanks for the feedback. Getting more people to come to the site has been a goal of ours for a while and frankly we stink at it. We’ve tried a couple different methods but nothing has really had an effect. we are thinking of shutting down the forums since no one really uses them (just makes me sad). so far our most interaction has come from Facebook. we are thinking of trying to use it to drive more interaction (still doesn’t solve the problem of getting people here, though!) For now, please just keep doing what you are doing. Scando comments on almost every episode and if you continue to do so as well, that’s two. Maybe that’s just the start we need 🙂

Just signed up for the forums, I’ll get around to posting. I was going to propose something and see what you’d think, (feel free to say no), I have been working on a post to play-esque, sci-fi, interactive collaborative story type of thing for a while. Do you think it’d be cool to try to run it on the rpg academy forums? Maybe people might enjoy it.

        1. Red Rabbit,

I’m all for trying. We’ve discussed shutting down the forums since there is so little traffic here (granted we haven’t done a lot to promote it ourselves) so if you wanna try it and see if we can get some traction i’m all for it. Let me know when you’re ready and we’ll blast it out on social media and cover on an upcoming Table Topics.

Probably need a few more weeks to tie up some loose ends.
I’m actually surprised at the lack of forum activity, considering the site traffic and the amount of downloads.

          1. You and me, both!

Well, it’s not exactly Shakespeare, but it’s up. Hopefully an Rpg Academy public rpg game will wake up the forums a bit. 🙂
