Hello all,
Evan and I have been working toward recording our D&D Games and then posting them on the site. Our current issue has been the audio quality. We play in my basement which is unfinished so it’s cavernous and does not have very good acoustics. On top of that, the furnace kicks on and off and the ambient sound of my minions and animal companion running around upstairs comes through. We are working on a new configuration for our next game and I’m very hopeful that it will be good enough to post.
Right now when Evan and I do the Dungeon Talk Podcast episodes we generally spend the majority of the time talking about things that are going on in our games. Even if we can’t get the point where we can post the actual games I’d like to be able to use snippets from those recordings to help illustrate what we are talking about.
In addition, listening back to the tests we’ve done (regardless of the audio quality) I’m picking up on things as a DM I do well and many more that I do not. It’s been very educational for me as a DM and I hope that as the sound quality improves, so will my game.
Our next game is Tuesday night, if all goes well the new setup will work.
